Kehan Zhang graduated from the soloist class of the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, where he studied with Professor Serguei Azizian.

In 2017, He gave his debut concert in the Radiohus in Copenhagen, and in 2018, his recital at Carnegie Hall in New York.

He has attended masterclasses with Pinchas Zukerman, Ani Kavafian, Pierre Amoyal, Boris Kushnir, Gerhard Schulz, Nikolaj Znaider, Milan Vitek, Noah Bendix-Balgley.

He began studying the violin at the age of 4. In 2008, he achieved the highest grades in the entrance audition of the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music. During his studies, he won the National Violin Competition and the Chinese National Scholarship.

Kehan began developing his career as a soloist and chamber musician when he was 19. He performed as the concertmaster of the China Youth Symphony Orchestra, and guest concertmaster and soloist of ACCENT Orchestra for the festival seasons held in the Beijing Concert Hall. He was also the principle violinist of ConTempo Ensemble. He has performed as soloist with Harbin Symphony Orchestra, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra among many other orchestras of China.

Every year he is invited as a soloist of the Beijing International Baroque Music Festival, and Harbin Summer Music Festival. He has performed in over 30 cities in China, as well as in The United States, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Serbia.

His performances have been broadcast on TV networks such as CCTV (China Central), BTV (Beijing), QTV (Qingdao), HTV (Heilongjiang), CPH-TV, DR, Radio24syv, DK4, Serbia TV, online at Youku.com, Sohu.com, Sina.com etc.

He has been on the cover of the biggest magazine of Chinese national music magazine, the <Instrument> in 2017.

His album "Paganini Piazzolla" was released by Hevhetia in 2018.

His book, A Violin Study Book for Children, was published and distributed all over China in 2014 by The Blue Sky Publishing House. His thesis, Ways to Express Baroque Music with Modern Violin won the Academic Prize of CCOM in 2015. His research (since 2007) and publication of the essay "Improving the Sound of Wooden Instruments by Reconstructing the Vibrations" has become an interest of more and more colleagues.

Besides, he also gives concerts on baroque violin and viola.

1996-2002: Studied with Prof. Zongxi Deng, he was a protégé of Leopold Auer.

1993-1996: Studied with Suzuki teacher Guangda Xing.
